BenZai
Terms of use
BenZai is provided by Devitify (“we”). By creating an account or using BenZai you agree to these terms. Contact: info@devitify.fr.
Who can use it
BenZai is for adults running a household together. You must be at least 18 years old to have an account, and you are responsible for anyone you let use your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your email address, which is how you sign in, secure.
What you put in
What you write, record, photograph or add stays yours. You give us permission to store it, translate it, read it aloud and show it to the members of the family you add it to, only so that the app can work. Everything you add is visible to that family, and private messages to the person you send them to.
What is not allowed
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Do not use BenZai to:
- harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone;
- post hate speech, or attack people for who they are;
- share sexual content involving minors — we report it to the authorities — or sexual content of anyone without their consent;
- promote or glorify violence, self-harm or terrorism;
- share anything illegal, or anyone’s private information without their permission;
- impersonate someone, spam, or try to break or misuse the service.
Blocking and reporting
Block someone: in Family, tap the shield next to their name and choose Block, or press and hold one of their messages. They can no longer message or call you, and you stop seeing what they write in the family chat. They are not told.
Report something: press and hold a message and choose Report, or report a person from Family. The report and a copy of the message come straight to us, not to your family. You can also write to info@devitify.fr.
What we do about it
We read every report and aim to act within 24 hours. Depending on what we find, we may remove content, suspend or delete the account responsible, or close a family, and we report illegal content to the authorities where the law requires it. The person who started a family can also remove members.
Translations, recipes and suggestions
Translations, voices, recipes, illustrations and meal suggestions are made by automated systems and can be wrong. Check anything important yourself — especially allergens, cooking temperatures and food safety.
Ending
You can stop using BenZai and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account (what that removes). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
No guarantees
We work to keep BenZai running and your data safe, but it is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law does not allow to be limited.
Law and disputes
Devitify is a company registered in France, and these terms are governed by French law. If you live in another country of the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. If something goes wrong, write to us first at info@devitify.fr and we will try to put it right. Any dispute that cannot be settled that way goes to the competent French courts, unless the law gives you, as a consumer, the right to go to the courts where you live.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes, and anything that affects you significantly is shown in the app before it applies. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
